I had always been wanting to have a dinner on a special type of place. Not those cable car
(which now not operate in SG) Not those in the night safari
(which is too exp!) & of cause not at the flyer
(which you need to dine in with other 5 couples, 6couples in a cabin)
So one fine day, I was browsing the newspaper (Life section) I saw the advertiment about Singaopore Food Festival!! So I search online and this caught my eye straight away!!
Singapore Chinese Dialect Tingkat Cruise.
So I book the slot and when the day arrive, is quite disappointed yet surprise!!!
#1- Disappointment
When I arrive there which is on Wednesday 20 July, it started to pouring! & I was like sianz, sure later get drench when we inside the boat. Than, when we register our name the booth I saw the
Tingkat!! But Just to realise the food is packed before hand therefore it won't be serve hot. =(
#1- Surprise
However when we prepare to board the boat(cruise) the environment and the space turns me on man!! =D
Aren't the sofa seats with the pillow so cozy!! Some more on a raining night, with all the lights in the building reflect us!
#2-Surprise
So we settle in and the cruise begins. Th helper was nice to open the
Tingkat for me! Like the tour-guide said, we this youngster (modern-people) tend to un-familiar with
Tingkat. So when we open the 3rd Surprise came! =D
#3-Surprise
As you can see there's 3 level in the
Tingkat so the top
(1st level) consist of Carrot cake & Hokkien Mee.
Follow by
(2nd level) consist of Chicken Rice & Sun Gui
(traditional gui for teochew). & Lastly the bottom part
(3rd level) is the dessert. Barley water!!
=D & also a can drink
(Sparkling Black Current)
#2- Disappointment
The food portion is so small. =(
But the chicken rice ball is cute!
So while eating, there's a tour-guide inside the cruise telling us about Singapore history and the location around Merlion Park to Boat quey to Clark quey. =D
Fun fact! - Do you know last time One Fullerton is a post-office in Singapore. & now revamp to a 5star-hotel. Other than that was like, the river bank side in Boat quey is Curve and the opposite side
(Asian Civil Musuem) of the river bank side is straight. Because is believe of "Feng Shui"
(Fortune) purpose. The curve side is to believe, is good to do business there. =D
& the food just nice finish in 30min of the cruise (From Merlion Park - Boat Quey - Clark Quey), after that the cruise turn back to head back to the Merlion park. But before that we also pass through the floating Plat-form, Marina Bay Sand (which I havn't been there) & also pass to see the night scenery!!
